As a Financial Controller, you will be managing 2-3 people within the accounting team for a well-established commercial/industrial company in Luxembourg. You will be responsible in preparing the financial statements and the budget forecasts of the entity and coordinating the accounting and reporting activities. You will directly report to the Finance Director. This is a fixed term contract of 12 months.
Function information
Your Responsibilities
• Coordinating and preparing budget forecasts and financial analysis
• Managing the general accounting activities such as general ledger, cash management treasury and consolidation
• Certifying the compliance of the Accounting team’s activities and actions
• Maintaining the accuracy and the timely delivery of the financial statements and reports
• Coordinating with internal and external audit activities
• Implementing guidance on accounting and finance procedures, policies and change
• Organising and coordinating accounting projects across Europe and the US
• Collaborating with different functions to advise and support business decisions
• Being able to provide financial solutions and advices to senior management
• Supervising the direct reports and offering guidance
Requirements
Your Profile
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
• Around 10 years of experience within the Accounting, Financial or Audit sector
• Experienced in drafting and preparing financial statements under IFRS and/or US GAAP
• Good knowledge of Transfer Pricing is a plus
• Solid experience in SAP and/or Oracle
• Fluency in English is a must. Additional languages such as French would be considered as a bonus
• Strong communication skills, organised and detail oriented
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills with the ability to propose accurate solutions
• Ability to work independently
• Capacity to manage a small team
