Introduction
We are looking for a Head of Design and Construction to manage client expectations, delivering extremely creative results by planning and concept construction projects and oversee the project until completion.
You will also lead the design team in the right direction by managing and supporting them
Function information
Your Responsibilities
• Oversee and direct projects from conception to completion
• Translate the technical aspects from the process team into design
• Oversee all offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
• Adopting a ‘hands-on’ approach when required to help the team with concept development
• Ensuring the right resource is available and that the creative team is involved from the beginning of a project
• Review the work progress on daily basis
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
• Meet contractual conditions of performance
• Mentoring, developing and coaching the team
• Creating an inspiring and positive culture
Requirements
Your Profile
• Degree in chemistry, mechanics and/or electricity engineering or related field
• Proven working experience in Design and Construction management
• Experience in a chemical environment/ industry
• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
• Ability to plan and see the “big picture”, from a green field and/or existing plant/buildings
• Leadership and human resources management skills
• Excellent time and project management skills
• English, French and German fluency, any other languages is a strong asset
