Our client is an industrial and international group. Their European Headquarters are located close to Luxembourg City. To strengthen their purchasing and procurement team, we are searching for a skilled Purchaser (permanent placement). The successful candidate will be part of a team and will report to the Procurement Manager.

Function information

Your Responsibilities

• Lead raw material, consumables and services purchasing by doing benchmarking, prepare requests for quotation (rfq) and compare offers. Also, you will manage day-to-day activities.
• Make sure that you will carry out yearly suppliers’ audit and assessment
• Implement purchasing strategies in collaboration with your management while following the company policies
• Negotiate contracts as needed by the plants| facilities
• Support and optimize the CAPEX purchasing strategy & actions and help to improve the CAPEX purchasing process
• Strong cooperation with business groups projects. Identify & implement new sources of supply & savings potential for these groups
• Support Annual Operating Plan process
• Improve Purchasing KPIs through a continuous improvement approach
• Manage purchasing database and monitor pricing development
• Make sure that existing suppliers are regularly evaluate and challenged

Requirements

Your Profile

• You hold a Bachelor or a Master in economic, business administration, purchasing and/or any relevant field. A master in chemistry will be considered as a very strong plus
• You have at least 3 years of experience in similar position
• You have experience in purchasing of in¬dustrial products. You also have a good understanding of logistics and supply chain processes
• Very good judgement ability and strong communication and negotiation skills
• High analytical thinking, you are able to work under pressure
• Ability to work on your own but you should also be able to work in a team as well
• You are fluent in English and French. German would be considered as a plus
• You are open to consider international business trips from time to time (less than 10% of your time)
