Introduction

Within this US based alternative investment firm which focuses on investment opportunities in the global distressed and undervalued credit space, you will participate in the accounting and reviewing the accounting done by external providers, as well as deal with financial reporting and tax matters of the approximately 100 Luxembourg entities.

Within a team of 4, you will report to the Finance Manager based in Luxembourg.

Function information

Your Responsibilities

• Thorough review of the accounting records provided
• Conversion of accounting data from US GAAP to Lux GAAP
• Accounting of some transactions
• Maintenance of loan and interest calculation schedules
• Review and follow up of information provided by property managers
• Review and follow up of financial information provided by subsidiary entities
• Preparation of periodic group reporting packages (Lux GAAP)
• Preparation of financial statements (Lux GAAP)
• Assistance in preparation of periodical Luxembourg VAT returns
• Preparation of financial information/analysis as required
• Assistance in liaising with external service providers
• Assistance with other ad hoc projects

Requirements

Your Profile

• Degree in accounting/economics/finance (ACCA or similar qualification is an asset)
• Approx. 2 to 5 years professional work experience. Seniority will be commensurate with experience.
• Experience in Big4 (audit or accounting services), accounting service providers with alternative investment companies
• Lux GAAP expertise (US GAAP knowledge is an asset)
• Luxembourg corporate tax knowledge
• Understanding of VAT reporting
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
• Self-motivated and pro-active team player with the ability to work independently to tight deadlines and complete set tasks while managing multiple priorities
• Attention to details and accuracy
• Excellent organisational skills
